Happy h’OWLeen
Since it is Halloween, we thought it would be fitting to focus on some of the awesome owl images and videos that we have. This Western Screech Owl was trying to get some sleep as we were photographing him. The flash made his eyes turn red–great Halloween effects! Plus, we have the added effect of a guest (look in upper left hand corner of the picture). Unfortunately, it isn’t a spider, but the insect does add spookiness.

This short video has awesome slow motion of the Barn Owl and Great Horned Owl. Our DVD, Birds of Prey, has more footage and information about these two fantastic owls, in addition to other raptors and birds of prey. It also has more slow motion of the Chihuahuan Raven, Ferruginous Hawk and Harris’ Hawk. You can see a short trailer for this DVD on the Video page at the Gift Shop.
