Cute Critters

Since it’s so hot and humid in Tucson, we have been indoors reviewing our video and photographs taken over the last few months. It is always a pleasant surprise to discover footage that is just so darned cute. This little critter clip is just that–cute.

ABOUT THE CRITTERS ON THE VIDEO
For some reason the mammals at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum were acting strange while we were there. Hmmmm. . . .is that a comment on our presence? Anyway, their actions made for some great video.

The Black-tailed Prairie Dog was licking the glass almost like it was sprayed with some good tasting stuff. It was by chance we got footage of a Coati in the tree. It is hard to even find a Coati in the enclosure, never the less find one in a tree. The River Otter is always a delight to watch because of her playfulness. Speaking of playfulness, the Raccoon is the winner. And the Harris’ antelope Squirrel must has been bored enough to play patty cake with Larry.

While at Sweetwater Wetlands, the water reclamation project of Tucson AZ, we were thrilled to capture the Red Shouldered Blackbird with our high speed camera. We never realized that birds put so much enthusiasm into realigning their feathers!
